In her first few months as Director of Program & Community Engagment, Lauren Campbell reflects on what she’s sheen, heard, and learned at Home Works - from powerful home vists to the meaningful connections forming between teachers, students, and families.

Lauren Campbell’s connection to Home Works began not as a staff member, but as a parent during her child’s home visit. Now, as Director of Program & Community Engagement, she brings that firsthand experience and a background in education and nonprofit leadership to strengthening school-family partnerships.

This past year, Home Works continued to strengthen the connection between families and educators, and the results speak for themselves. Families are spending more time learning together at home, teachers feel more connected to their students’ lives, and students are thriving both academically and emotionally. Over the past several months, the Home Works team has been reflecting on how we share our story with stakeholders like you, and how our brand can better capture the heart of our mission. As we continue to evolve alongside the schools, families, and communities we serve, we knew it was time for our brand to evolve too. Now, nearly 20 years later, this rebrand reflects who we’ve become and how we’re continuing to strengthen family engagement to make a greater impact in schools and communities.

In this Spark & Share, HOME WORKS! is bringing together expert panelists to explore barriers, share strategies for building bridges, and highlight resources to support families and schools in navigating challenging circumstances.

After a thoughtful and wide-reaching search, we’re excited to welcome Ashli Florek as the new CEO of Home Works. She steps into a mission-driven team that has spent this past year strengthening our results in classrooms and homes, refining our model, and proving once again that when families and teachers work together, students thrive.
