Building Connections and Community: Introducing Kim Wisdom as Home Works’ Development Manager

Our mission at Home Works centers on the belief that students thrive when schools, families, and communities are connected. With that in mind, we’re honored to welcome Kim Wisdom as the newest member of our team development team.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Kim brings experience in leadership, project management, and special events planning, primarily with organizations that support children and families. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Fontbonne University and her master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration from Lindenwood University. Along the way, Kim discovered that fundraising is her passion, making her especially excited to join the Home Works team as our Development Manager.

Kim shares:

“I’m excited to join the Home Works team as the Development Manager.

As a mom of two, the mission of Home Works resonates with me. I love how the organization brings people together and creates opportunities for students to thrive. My family’s school and sports communities have been a significant part of our life, and I’ve seen firsthand how much of a difference a strong, connected community can make for kids.

I also understand the value of parent engagement. Being informed, connected, and partnering with educators helps me better support my own children, and I’m proud to be part of an organization that strengthens those connections for families.

I am also grateful for the opportunity to work alongside incredible educators, who have already made me feel warmly welcomed, encouraged, and inspired. Their color-coding and organizational skills are unmatched, and their positivity is energizing. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!”
