Making Data More Approachable: Home Works Featured in New Practice Brief

What happens when you make data a little more approachable - and a lot more interactive?

We’re excited to be featured in a new practice brief from the Center for Social Development at Washington University in St. Louis, highlighting an innovative approach to building data confidence and collaboration at Home Works.

Working alongside our Data Consultants at Goshen, our team tool part in a Data Scavenger Hunt - an interactive experience that invited staff to explore our program data, build confidence, and uncover new insights.

The experience did more than help our team navigate a new data platform. It sparked conversations about what we measure, how we tell our story, and what our data can teach us about the impact of our work.

Most importantly, it reminded us that data doesn’t have to feel intimidating or disconnected from the people doing the work. When we create space for curiosity, collaboration, and even a little fun, data can become a shared tool for learning and growth.
